For individuals, the search for our "True South" symbolises a journey of self-discovery and finding one's place in the world. Tru South helps you to explore your community's core identities, values and purposes in life. By aligning ourselves with what truly matters, and by living authentically, we can all work to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive community.

Our logo proudly identifies us as Australian - guided by the Southern Cross. The sweeping “S” is the pathway, or journey, we are on as individuals, as workplaces, as communities - and as a nation. The navigational compass indicates our spirit of discovery and sense of direction. The deep blue of the logo represents the trust, professionalism and expertise Tru South exemplifies in our work, while the orange - representing the red sand and ochre of our ancient land - captures the optimism, enthusiasm and warmth with which we operate each and every day.

Seeking direction and purpose:

Just as a compass points to ‘True North’, looking for "True South" can symbolise the pursuit of a clear path in life. It's about finding a sense of clear direction - and making meaningful choices that align with our goals and values. This commitment can help to lead towards an equitable and inclusive future for our communities.

Facing the past:

Tru South Consulting guides organisations, workplaces, school communities and community groups on journeys which often involves a reckoning with the past, and which require a commitment to authenticity and truth. In the work we do with organisations (in our racism and unconscious bias training, for example) and in schools (teaching about Australian history and civics), this can often mean confronting difficult truths about our national history. It can be a process of acknowledging past mistakes, healing from trauma, and working towards reconciliation with our First Nations sisters, brothers and others - but is also about celebrating our achievements and building towards a brighter future.
